Yesterday afternoon and evening I cruised round the streets of New York taking in Soho, Little Italy, Harlem and Union Square.

This city just reeks of energy. A non stop buzz of people, buildings, sights all mixed together in a spellbinding sympony of life.

I came across this really helpfull blog by a lady called Sherry Ott. The blog gives really good sound advice for first time travellers and includes advice on hostels, older travellers, and tips for female travellers.

Hmmm this could get really embarassing! Just imagine, having a few beers and having a brainwave to spend a day of your summer break on the Baltic sea basking in fabulous sunshine and tropical winds from the Arctic circle!
